Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival 2006

Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival’s 17th season runs June 1 to September 24, 2006 in open-ended tents on the waterfront in Vanier Park, against a spectacular backdrop of mountains, sea & sky. The Mainstage tent features Shakespeare’s most popular romantic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream and the passionate moral drama Measure for Measure. On the Studio Stage, Bard presents the beautiful romantic comedy, The Winter’s Tale, and the rarely-produced satire on love and war, Troilus and Cressida. Comedy Festival Laugh Lounge Fundraiser

The Vancouver International Comedy Festival Society invites you to the Laugh Lounge Fundraiser on June 7th, at Tom Lee Music Hall. Come celebrate Irwin Barker's triumphant return from his 3rd season as staff writer of "This hour has 22 minutes". Joining Irwin, our host and MC is Erica Sigurdson, one of the funniest female comedians in the country. She's been described as sugar coated razor blade and will be taping her own special this fall for CTV. Special guests will include our picks of local talent to watch for at this year's festival, September 18-24.
